Overview

In the course of my studies and research, I often discover articles and reports online which I think you would find useful. On this page you will find links to those articles and studies relevant to teaching English Language Arts. In addition, certain organizations such as CELA (The Center for English Learning and Achievement) and the Alliance for Excellent Education routinely produce some of the most reliable, useful reports; I will include here links to a select group of such organizations.

Articles by Jim Burke

These articles appeared in various magazines and journals in past years. They are not all about education; some, for example, appeared as part of an annual column I wrote about Father's Day for a parenting magazine.   View articles >>
